1Who operates SZNZ

SZNZ is a digital colour-analysis service operated by [PLACEHOLDER — registered legal name of the SZNZ operator], company number [PLACEHOLDER — company registration number, if incorporated], of [PLACEHOLDER — registered / trading address] (“SZNZ”, “we”, “us”). You can reach us at [PLACEHOLDER — customer support email address].

To be completed before launch: registered legal name, company number, trading address and support email address. We have not assumed any of these.

2Agreeing to these terms

By creating an SZNZ account or purchasing from us, you agree to these terms and confirm you have read our Privacy Notice. We record the version of the terms you accepted so that both of us know which version applies. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

3Eligibility and age

SZNZ is intended for adults. You must be 18 or over to create an account and to purchase from us. We do not knowingly provide the service to children, and we will close an account if we learn it belongs to someone under this age.

Business decision to confirm: SZNZ has been drafted as an 18+ service. If you intend to permit under-18s, this clause and the Privacy Notice need parental-consent and safeguarding provisions added.

4Your account and its security

You can create an account with an email address and password, or by signing in with Google. Keep your password confidential, use it only yourself, and tell us promptly if you believe someone else has access. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account where that results from a failure to keep your credentials secure.

5What SZNZ provides

SZNZ is a digital colour-analysis service. You provide photographs following our photography guidance, together with information about your natural colouring supplied during the consultation. SZNZ measures colour characteristics from that evidence and maps the result against our curated twelve-season colour-analysis framework.

Depending on your purchase, the service can provide:

  • your primary colour season
  • a secondary or runner-up season where the evidence supports one
  • your measured colour characteristics — temperature, value, chroma and contrast
  • a personalised colour palette drawn from our curated colour library
  • colours recommended for you, colours to use with care, and colours to avoid
  • neutrals, metals and pattern guidance
  • make-up and hair-colour guidance
  • digital draping images showing colours against your own portrait
  • a personalised written report you can download
  • item scanning, which compares a photographed item against your palette (SZNZ Membership)

SZNZ is a styling and personal-colour service. It is not a medical, diagnostic, psychological or identity service. It does not perform facial recognition, does not identify you from your photographs, and does not determine race, ethnicity, health or genetic characteristics.

6Photographs and the quality of your result

Where we ask for several photographs — usually three to five — the analysis considers them together rather than treating a single image as definitive. Photographs are assessed individually for usability, and those that are unusable are excluded or given less weight. If the evidence is inconsistent or insufficient, SZNZ will ask for more photographs or present your result with a lower stated confidence rather than overstating it.

The accuracy of your result depends materially on the evidence you provide. It can be affected by:

  • photograph quality, focus and resolution
  • lighting, including mixed or coloured light sources
  • camera white balance, exposure and automatic processing
  • colour casts from walls, clothing or surroundings
  • screen and display differences when you view your results
  • hair colour, treatments and regrowth
  • make-up, fake tan and coloured contact lenses
  • image compression, filters and editing
  • the accuracy of the information you supply during the consultation

SZNZ cannot overcome fundamentally unsuitable photographic evidence, and we do not claim to. Following the photography guidance in the app is the single biggest thing you can do to improve your result.

7Accuracy and the nature of our recommendations

SZNZ is a sophisticated digital colour-analysis tool built on a structured twelve-season methodology, measured colour science and a curated colour library. Our results are produced by automated analysis. We do not claim that results are perfect, guaranteed, scientifically certified or reviewed by a human colour consultant, and we do not offer human expert review as part of the service.

Our recommendations are personal styling guidance. They are offered in good faith and with care, and they are for you to use as you see fit — they are not instructions, and taste is always yours.

8What you may and may not do

You agree not to:

  • upload photographs of anyone other than yourself without their permission
  • upload unlawful, harmful or offensive content
  • scrape, harvest, copy or bulk-extract the SZNZ colour databases or any part of the platform
  • reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to derive our methodology
  • resell, sublicense or commercially reproduce SZNZ analyses or reports
  • share account access, or attempt to gain access to another person's account or data
  • interfere with the security, integrity or availability of the service

9Products, prices and payment

One-off Colour Analysis — £24.99. A single payment for your full colour analysis and personalised report, with lifetime access to that report through your account.

SZNZ Membership — £4.99 per month. A rolling monthly subscription that adds unlimited item scanning, wardrobe tools and future member features.

Prices include VAT where applicable and are shown in pounds sterling at checkout. Payments are handled by our payment provider; SZNZ never receives or stores your card number, expiry date or security code.

10Membership: renewal, cancellation and price changes

Membership begins when your first payment is taken and renews automatically each month on the same date until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account settings — no email, no phone call, no retention process. Cancelling stops future payments; your membership features remain available until the end of the period you have already paid for, and we do not pro-rate part months.

If a payment fails we will attempt it again over a short period and let you know. If it continues to fail, membership features pause until payment succeeds or you cancel. We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before any price change, and you may cancel before it takes effect.

11Digital content and your right to cancel

You normally have 14 days to cancel a purchase of digital content bought online. Because your analysis and report are supplied immediately, at checkout we ask you to expressly request immediate supply and to acknowledge that you will lose that right once the content has been fully supplied. That request is a separate, unticked confirmation — we do not bundle it with anything else.

If you do not give that confirmation, your 14-day cancellation right is unaffected and supply begins after the period ends. Full detail is in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

12Refunds

Your statutory rights always apply: digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If it is not, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement or refund. We also refund duplicate payments and payments where the service failed to deliver. See the Refund & Cancellation Policy for how this works in practice. We do not operate an absolute “no refunds” rule.

13Intellectual property

SZNZ owns or licenses the SZNZ brand and logo, the website and application design, the software, our colour databases, our proprietary colour-analysis methodology, the structure and written content of our reports, and our graphics and imagery. Nothing in these terms transfers any of that to you.

When you purchase a report, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it for your own personal purposes — including printing it, keeping it and shopping with it. You may not reproduce it commercially, resell it or extract our colour data from it.

14Your photographs remain yours

You keep all rights in the photographs you upload. We do not claim ownership of them and we do not sell them or use them for advertising. You grant us only the permissions we need to run the service for you: to receive, store, process and analyse your photographs, to produce your report and draping images, to provide support if you ask for it, and to keep the service secure.

If we ever wanted to use your photographs for anything else — a case study, marketing, or improving our method — we would ask you separately, and you would be free to say no.

15Availability and technical problems

We aim to keep SZNZ available and working well, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Maintenance, updates, third-party outages and events outside our control can interrupt it. If a technical failure prevents us delivering something you have paid for, tell us and we will put it right or refund you.

16Third-party services

SZNZ relies on third-party providers for hosting, database and authentication, payments and email. They are listed in our Privacy Notice. We choose them carefully, but we are not responsible for their own services or websites where you deal with them directly.

17Our liability to you

We do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded — including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Subject to that, SZNZ provides styling recommendations, and we are not liable for purchasing decisions you make in reliance on them, or for indirect or unforeseeable losses. Where we are liable, our liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

18Changes to the service and to these terms

We may improve, change or withdraw parts of the service. If we make a material change to these terms, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect, and record the new version. Continuing to use SZNZ after that date means you accept the updated terms; if you do not, you may close your account.

19Suspension, termination and closing your account

You may close your account at any time from your settings. We may suspend or close an account where these terms are seriously or repeatedly breached, where we are required to by law, or where necessary to protect the service or other users — and we will tell you why unless we are legally prevented from doing so.

Closing your account cancels any active membership and removes access to your reports. Some records, such as payment records, must be kept for legal reasons; our Privacy Notice explains exactly what is deleted and what is retained.

20Complaints, governing law and contact

If something has gone wrong, please contact us at [PLACEHOLDER — customer support email address] — we would rather fix it than have you go elsewhere. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 5 working days.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
